CJHS Renovation & Addition

Strickland Engineering provided mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design services for the renovation and addition at Cape Junior High in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The project included updates to the existing three-story classroom wing, auditorium, and restroom areas, along with new HVAC systems and electrical service upgrades.

The project also included replacement of the former gymnasium with a new gymnasium, central office areas, a new building entrance, and five new science labs. The MPE design supported both the renovated and newly constructed areas, providing coordinated systems for classrooms, assembly spaces, administrative areas, athletic functions, and laboratory use. The design focused on efficient, code-compliant building systems that supported the school’s updated educational and operational needs.
