Rooted in Faith & Family

After graduating from Rolla, Tom Strickland began working for Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson, Indiana. While he did well during his twelve years at Delco, Tom found that career advancement came with extra responsibilities, and unfortunately more travel and time away from his family. After 12 years at Delco in Indiana, Tom's desire to be closer to his family brought him back to Southeast Missouri, where he joined Delta Engineering in Cape Girardeau before starting his own firm. In 1979, Tom founded Strickland Engineering in the basement of his home in Oak Ridge, Missouri.

By 1985, Strickland Engineering had outgrown the home basement and moved to Jackson, Missouri, where we began to expand, hiring more staff and adding engineering services. In 2002, the firm moved into its permanent office in uptown Jackson.

From the beginning, family values have been central to Strickland Engineering's growth and success. Today, Tom's sons, Brian and Mark Strickland, lead the company alongside Mark's son Caleb, a key engineer.

Grounded in faith and driven by trust and clear communication, Strickland Engineering has grown from a one-person operation to a team of over 20 full-time employees. While maintaining a strong focus on tradition, we embrace innovation, and have expanded our engineering services to include Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Surveying. Strickland Engineering remains dedicated to building lasting relationships with clients, emphasizing trust, integrity, and exceptional service.
