Cape Girardeau City Hall

Strickland Engineering provided mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design services for the Cape Girardeau City Hall renovation and addition. The project involved the historic renovation of the former Common Pleas Courthouse and adjacent Carnegie Library, along with a new addition connecting the two buildings to create a modern City Hall facility for the City of Cape Girardeau.
The MPE design supported the adaptive reuse of the historic buildings while accommodating updated municipal office functions, public spaces, accessibility needs, and modern building system requirements. The project required coordinated mechanical, plumbing, and electrical upgrades within existing historic structures and the new connecting addition, providing efficient and code-compliant systems while preserving the character and long-term functionality of the facility.
