Strickland Engineering was the MPE consultant for the new 82,000 square-foot Cape Girardeau County Courthouse. The building features six courtrooms, a state-of-the-art security and notification system, and ample natural lighting thorughout. The $19 million justice center allowed for increased space for state courts, ensured secure prisoner travel between the county jail and courthouse, and improved the staff and jury areas.

Cape Girardeau School District No. 63 passed a $40 million bond issue in 2010 and Strickland Engineering was the MPE consultant for the bond issue. Phillip B. The project was 17,679 sq ft in total area and consisted of renovating space from existing shop areas. This new 20,000 sq ft elementary classroom building includes 18 classrooms, office area, restrooms, and new entry to the gymnasium. The MPE systems included individual energy efficient packaged HVAC units for each classroom, central split system HVAC units for the central core areas, fluorescent lighting, fire alarm system, and wiring for smartboards in each classroom. Strickland Engineering worked for Drury Southwest on the building design of the new Drury Inn & Suites in Flagstaff, Arizona . This building design incorporates solar heating for domestic hot water usage, recycled greywater system to flush the urinals and water closets, dual flush toilet technology, energy efficient lighting and lighting controls.This project received LEED Silver Certification by United States Green Building Council (USGBC)
